How It Works

A main theory driving Cognitive Hypnotherapy is that all emotion and behaviour serve a purpose.  Usually, this purpose is a positive one, aiming to keep you safe, well and happy. Often this is based on what you've learnt in the past. This silent intention behind everything we do and feel subtly influences our lives without us ever being consciously aware of it.

 

This can be a good thing sometimes, but often these subtle influences can leave you feeling as if something is holding you back. This could be in any aspect of your life, from relationships to your career, leaving you feeling stuck, down, stressed or frustrated. 

 

Using my training, together we’ll find out where those intentions came from and find new, more positive ways to satisfy those needs. You could begin to think about all the amazing ways your life could change if you didn’t have this problem any longer - what would become possible? Together, we’ll work towards your goals and how you’d like to be - leaving you free to live your best life.

Practical information

Duration?

The first session takes around 90 minutes to allow me to take a brief history and find out what you'd like to achieve from our work together. After that, sessions will take between 60 and 75 minutes. 

How much?

I charge £55 per session (rather than per hour), so no matter how long your session takes you'll always pay the same amount. This is capped at 90 minutes maximum session time.   

 

Please note that I have a 24 hour cancellation policy - I will require payment in full for sessions cancelled with less than 1 days notice. 

Where?

Appointments take place in Sheffield in the Abbeydale Road area, and can be conducted online if more convenient.
